Charity 4 Uganda is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of vulnerable communities in Uganda. Our mission is to provide essential support, promote sustainable development, and empower individuals to thrive.

Education &literacy programs

Charity4Uganda offers support to disadvantaged children, including sponsoring orphans and vulnerable children to access quality education

Health & Nutrition Initiatives

Our health and medicine services, include reproductive and sexual health programs, HIV/AIDS prevention and education, and counseling services

Economic empowerment

Through support groups, charity 4 Uganda has boosted incomes by providing start up capital to small scale businesses in the Eastern parts of Uganda

Community Development

We engage in community development initiatives, outreaches, and livelihood projects to promote sustainable development

Advocacy and Human Rights

advocate for the protection of children’s rights and women’s rights, including against gender-based violence and child abuse.

Environmental conservation

We promote environmental responsibility through tree planting initiatives, waste management projects, and awareness programs.

Skilling and Empowerment

Charity for Uganda is currently skilling hundreds of teenage mothers to enhance livelihood incomes thru vocational skills and related courses

Direct Home Aid

Under this program, the Organization offers direct support in terms of food and health supplies to homes of the elderly and the vulnerable

Girl child support

For the year 2025, we have focused more on empowering the gals below their teen age to reduce school drop outs and early pregnancy

Name: Grace N. luuka District

From School Dropout to Community Leader


Focus Area: Education

Today, she is completing her diploma in teaching and volunteers in her village to support young girls at risk of early marriage. Grace says, “I thought my future had ended, but Charity for Uganda gave me a second chance. Now, I help others find theirs.”

Before Charity for Uganda intervened, Grace had dropped out of school at age 13 due to lack of school fees and basic supplies. Through our “Back to School” program, Grace received a scholarship, school materials, and mentorship.

Access to Clean Water Saves a Village


Focus Area: Health & Hygiene

“Now we drink clean water, and our children are healthy,” says Faizal, a father of five. “This borehole changed everything.”

Residents of Kamuli used to walk over 4 kilometers daily to fetch water from a contaminated source. The community suffered frequent outbreaks of typhoid and diarrhea.

In 2023, Charity for Uganda together with Car hire Uganda drilled a solar-powered borehole and trained a local water committee in maintenance and hygiene practices. Within six months, waterborne illnesses dropped by over 70%, and children began attending school more regularly.

Turning Beads into a Business

“We went from surviving to thriving,” says Peter. “Now we’re not only earning—we’re employing.”

Peter and Sarah, a young couple, struggled to provide for their family after losing jobs during the COVID-19 pandemic. Through Charity for Uganda’s small business skills training and startup grant, they learned how to make handmade jewelry and market their products online.

Today, their small business supports five other local artisans and supplies crafts to two shops in Iganga Municipality
